So another afternoon was spent torturing various computers in the lab with these horrendous data sets from skulls. So far, astonishingly, my 2.5 year old HP laptop comes out on top. The MacBook Pro in the formentioned post seems to hum along nicely with the initial work in Osirix, and it still looks purdy. The the sets are exported (settings a secret at this point, sorry UWO) and plunked in wunderware #2. Having a little trouble with the plunking part as it's not too keen to plunk, so I've resorted to using another piece of wunderware in between. Gosh, so much secret stuff going on why, oh why am I blogging about it?! Anywho, check the results below. No dental artifacts save the fact that this person is missing a few teeth. This CT scan was taken from someone just last week. I'm not worried about confidentiallity issues as you couldn't possibly identify this person by this image. More to come as I iron out the kinks in this process...and maybe invest in a bigger badder video card. EEsh.
