Not so blue sky anatomy.

Not one to rant and rave about things political or "Bad" with a capital "B" - this is Bluesky Anatomy after all - take a look at this site called "The X-Ray Project" My conscience weighed posting this, but I think the images of foreign items embedded in soft-tissue are rather important. It's the idea of Diane Covert and photographically documents the results of fanatical idealism in a slightly different way - medical images. Terrorism, I guess, has the intent of proving some desperate/disparate point through the creation of victims. Her idea is to show these victims from the inside using diagnostic images. If you know a little bit about anatomy the result of her collection, I think, equals in impact to the work of the best photojournalists in the world. This is poignant stuff. We don't see radiographs like these in our comfy part of the world.

Where do I find this stuff? I found this from surfing through another blog (which I love!) called Street Anatomy, by another medical illustrator name Vanessa Ruiz. She recently posted an article about X-ray photographers and I found the above through that post.
